Coyote Buttes 10 - It was worth the walk

Posted by
Dwight Corrin (Wichita, Kansas, United States) on 8 August 2010 in Landscape & Rural.

In June, I spent some time wondering around the Desert Southwest US. I have posted a number of photos from those travels here already. I have finally begun to tackle what I shot at Coyote Buttes, also known as The Wave. This site is administered by The Bureau of Land Management of the US government. They allow only 20 people a day to enter the area. It was a hot day and a challenging hike, on the day I was lucky enough to have a permit.

According to someone quoted in the Wikipedia article, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wave,_Arizona, one cannot consider oneself a landscape photographer until one has photographed the wave. I can say that I am now one step closer to becoming a landscape photographer.
